Patch 1.47

So, I haven't been posting recently because my step-dad took my computer apart for some stupid reason and I've literally only just got it back.

All of my stuff had been deleted so I had to get that back which took 4 whole fricken' days. I went to play Sims and get back on track and it asked me to install the update.

It wouldn't let me install this (I have to use an administrator password and I don't know it) and kept freezing when I clicked ok and then when I cancelled all that and wanted it to install the update again (thinking 2nd time lucky) it said "You can't open the sims3 launcher while an update is being installed". IT WASN'T INSTALLING THE UPDATE.

So I restarted my computer thinking it would help. It did. My mum typed in the password for me and it did everything until it came to updating the game (not origin - that was done). It suddenly comes up with this box saying something like "invalid file" and that was it. I tried again - same thing. So I thought fuck it (scuse me!) and went to load the game anyway (my nraas is gone btw so no mods)

It won't load past 'raking the leaves' or whatever it says.

Has anybody else had issues with this patch?
Does anybody know what I can do?!!
:(

I've been without my computer for 3 weeks now and I just want to plaaaayyy

This just needed a post all to itself

So, Jayda. That's not how you hold a baby.

Nope, still not right, and why are you looking away to the side?!

So I turn around and baby Alfie is floating in the middle of the living room, arms out like Jesus, his face like this. Gave me a shock and a half.

And Jayda won't stop crossing her eyes.

Again, Jayda. Stop sticking your hand up your child's ass to hold him.

She plonked him in the crib like that too.

Bytheway.

A little bit about moi.

Deck The Halls - Baby 20

It was hard without Fester in the house, especially since it was nearly Christmas. Not that you could tell from the weather. Brollies were up all over town. I had to get out of the house. Wednesday was in pieces, shut away in her room. She had been since Fester died. They were close. I once again found myself outside the house that Bradly shared with some of the other challenge mums.

I knew that I wasn't supposed to have feelings in this challenge, but I couldn't help it. Bradly seemed to be my ... rock. He cheered me up when I was down and I always had a smile on my face around him.

I knocked on the door, but nobody was home. Defeated, I went for a walk and then back home as soon as I knew the kids were at school. I lay on the sofa, feeling awful. I should be comforting them, not running away from them.
"Mama..."
I heard Kim calling for me then. The twins were aging up that afternoon and I ran my hands over the clothes that I had bought them for their childhood.

Kim was a kleptomaniac, which was odd because she was the sweeter of the two girls. They were basically identical apart from hair colour and their mouths. They were incredibly good at tricking their teachers though, especially in maths as they always seemed to have substitutes.

As they played, I stayed in the living room and spoke to the bird. My phone rang and I looked at the caller ID.

-Zac calling-

"Yeah right."

And again. That phone kept ringing. I eventually picked it up and let Bernie speak into it in his parrot voice.
"What do you want?"
"Jayda? Is that you?"
"No, it was a bird. But thanks. Now, answer the question dick."
"Oh erm, well. Kind of awkward now. Do you want to go on a date with me or something?"

"I would rather swallow human flesh. Especially after how you treated me. Bye."

And I hung up.

Well, that was plain weird.

I sat down at the computer and checked out the new online dating site that Wednesday had found on fliers. I wasn't sure why I was on this. I didn't need anybody. But maybe, just maybe I could find challenge fathers on here. Like a book of sperm.

Gross, Jayda.

I closed that down and left it there. Walking downstairs, I heard shouting.
"MAM. You got mail bitch."
This is why Wednesday and I got along. We were like best friends. She put the mail on the table, winked at me and skipped out the room.

I turned to the envelope and frowned.
"HAVE YOU OPENED MY MAIL?"
"NOO... ME? I WOULD NEVER..."

I sat down and opened the letter and my heart did somersaults. Please, i'd had children with him. He still made me feel like a hormone crazed schoolgirl.

I wrote a letter back, smiling as I did so.

The kids and I went to the fair on down the road and did some apple bobbing, pie eating contests and roller blading.

After eating my snow cone, I got back on the floor and was spinning around when I crashed into Fergus, Calista's son.

"Crap. Sorry."
He helped me up and smiled.

Back home, I got pregnant with the next baby and did some painting. I realised that I hadn't really done any since I lived in the old house.

Pugsley eventually came home, pie all over his face.

In my room, I sat on the bed and looked at all the photos I had so far. It dawned on me that I'd never taken a photo of Fester before he died. I had one photo. The one I'd taken when he aged up.

Kim and Meg had loved the photobooth, taking so many photos together. We eventually settled on this one going on my wall.

I sat there for ages, thinking about Fester. I wished he was still here. Christmas wasn't going to be the same without him, he always made us laugh.

Pugsley, Wednesday and Gomez went to their prom. They didn't have the greatest day for it as it was raining, but they still had a wonderful time. Wednesday was prom queen and Pugsley was prom king.

Pugsley also got a girlfriend, his crush - Amy Riches.

Gomez kept hitting on the boys but eventually he found Becka Riches. Wednesday wasn't sure how long that would truly last.

At home, Kim was sick so she stayed off school while Meg complained about having to go.
"Go on. You'll have fun."
I smiled, pushing her out the door.

That night, the kids went to a fancy dress party at their friends house apart from Kim who felt sick still.
Pugsley was a rock star.

Gomez was a pirate.

Meg a burglar.

And Wednesday was a princess.

Looking outside, the weather was absolutely grim. I had thought about taking Tamsie for a walk, but I decided i'd paint instead.

I went on a vacation and came home to find the house relatively trashed. I knew they would have a party. I wasn't really fussed. I had parties when I was a kid, mostly with my sisters. As I spent some time cleaning up, I realised the baby wanted to come now.

Life is hard. Then you die - Babies 18 and 19!

Fergal, Calista and Austin all grew up into young adults.

Hallie brought Lance, Lola and Lacie round for a picnic meal with the family in our garden but poor Bronson was ill and therefore spent the day at his dads instead. Calista married her boyfriend Gussie Bell and they moved into a house with Fergal and Austin. I went round later in the day to help Calista furnish the place and make it look nicer than before.

My mum invited me round hers for a party after the three moved out which was nice, and I met the next challenge father, Vince Calhoin. Bradly Turner was also there, and I was ashamed to say that I had a little crush on him. I wasn't allowed to get attached to any of the fathers.

The quadruplets aged up next morning before school started and I was pregnant with my next baby/babies so the challenge was going well. None of the kids could wait to become teenagers.

Wednesday went first, aging into a beautiful girl with thick red hair bouncing on her shoulders. She became quite a girly girl which surprised me as she'd always been the tomboy.

Next was Fester, aging up wonderfully and with an aptitude for everything.

Gomez next. Gomez was the only one of the quads not really fussed on his appearance. He liked the longer hair and normally just threw on any old outfit as long as it smelt okay. I often heard Wednesday trying to get him wearing much nicer clothes but Gomez didn't care.

And last, but not least, Pugsley. Pugsley was all about keeping fit. He loved the gym and for his birthday got a bar in order to do chin ups to increase his muscles. The girls loved him and he was always fighting them off at school.

And just like that; the good day was over. Wed, Pugs and Gomez were busy in their bedrooms getting ready for school and Fester was downstairs fixing the dishwasher as he'd already got ready for school. There was a loud bang and the entire house shook. Wednesday, being closest, ran into the kitchen to find Fester laying on the floor. He'd died of electrocution.

"MUM. MUUUUM. COME QUICK. MUUUM HELP."

I ran as fast as I could, but there was nothing I could do but watch the Grim Reaper carry my son away. We all stood there, numb for a second, Wednesday and I were sobbing.

I couldn't believe that he was really gone. I'd barely known him. The kids suggested we have the memorial that day and although it seemed a bit soon I agreed and let them set it up. They set up and invited lots of family and friends over, telling them to all wear bright clothes because Fester was a bright happy person in life.

As if to show this, during the party, Wednesday had pulled out the rodeo bull ride from the basement and was having fun on it.

"I don't understand how you can enjoy yourself when your brother is dead."
"Gomez. Fester was a happy person, always the life of the party. He wouldn't want us moping around, being sad the entire time. If he was here, he'd be on this, encouraging us to stop being sad and to have a go."
"I have to agree with Wedz here Gomez. Fester would have wanted this."

Calista came, heavily pregnant with her little girl.

Zane rode the rodeo bull the entire party, agreeing with the kids that Fester would have wanted it.

Fergal didn't really speak to anybody, just gazed out the window.
Calista placed her hand on my shoulder when I asked about him and spoke softly.
"He was fond of Fester. They were best friends... He's just a bit numb."

Aislinn, Caden, Hallie and Sookie also didn't seem to know what to do apart from stand in corners, looking at their feet.

Whereas Kaylum plonked himself on the floor in front of the TV and played a game.

Poor Wednesday spent most of the night crying her eyes out in the bathroom.

I went to the graveyard that evening to place Fester at his final place of rest. The kids had offered to come with me, but I just wanted to do it alone for some reason. Once there, I signed the paperwork needed to place his grave down and the manager of the graveyard left me to say my goodbyes. I began crying, unable to read the short speech I'd written for Fester's 18th, which he would now never hear.

Suddenly, strong arms were around me and I was sobbing and wiping my snot all over someone's shoulder.

He kissed my head and whispered softly into my ear a lullaby. I knew instantly that it was Bradly. He stuck around with me for a little bit, paying his respects to Fester before apologizing and leaving.

I was about to leave when I saw the bushes move.

"Hello?"
I called out into the darkness, not in the mood to be mugged right now. I was in the state of mind where I would hand over my purse and ask them to leave the photo of the kids I'd taken just before Fester died. The last photo I had of him.
Nobody answered but a dog ran happily out of the bushes straight up to me, nuzzling against my legs. I couldn't believe my eyes. This dog wasn't... alive. It was a ghost of a dog. Did that mean?
The dog happily chased some other animals around the graveyard and I stood by Fester's grave and pulled out my guitar.

I wasn't sure what I was expecting to happen. Most likely nothing and for a long time, nothing did happen. And then, just as it started to get light, I sensed movement and a whisper, nothing more.
The whisper said "Mama."
I didn't dare turn around for fear that he was in my imagination and would disappear, but out the corner of my eye I could see Fester, glowing yellow with electricity running through his transparent body standing there. One tear was running down his cheek, but he was smiling.

Just as I finished the song, Fester vanished into thin air and I looked around for him but couldn't find him anywhere. I was beginning to give up when a pain in my abdomen told me I was in labour. I rushed myself to the hospital as Vince wasn't keen on home births... or in a graveyard apparently and wanted 'good medical care'.

Calista and Gussie had their daughter, a little girl they named Michell pronounced (Mish-elle) which was a name that was passed down in Gussie's family.
